Spaghetti Puttanesca

For 1

  • 1 portion fresh spaghetti pasta
  • 1 portion danspasta homemade tomato Sauce (1/2 jar)
  • 2-3 anchovies
  • 5-6 green olives (pitted and halved)
  • 5-6 capers
  • 1 handful basil leaves (5-6 leaves)

step 1: drizzle a decent amount of chilli oil into your pan on medium to low heat until the pan is hot
step 2: chop up 2-3 anchovies and sauté until the anchovies break down
step 3: pour your home made tomato sauce over the anchovies
step 4: tip your fresh spaghetti into a pot of salted boiling water, make sure you are liberal with the salt. cook for 3-4 minutes until al dente
step 5: add the capers and chopped olives to the sauce. if it needs to be loosened, add a splash of reserved cooking water
step 6: once the spaghetti is cooked, use tongs to add to the sauce along with the fresh basil leaves. toss until every strand of spaghetti is coated in the sauce. season with salt and pepper to taste and serve!
