fettuccine carbonara

For 1

  • 1 portion fresh fettuccine
  • 1 portion danspasta creamy carbonara sauce (1/2 jar)
  • 1 handful fresh sliced mushrooms (about 100g)
  • 1 clove of sliced garlic (or danspasta garlic oil)
  • 1 handful grated parmesan (about 20g)
  • 1 handful chopped parsley (about 5g)

step 1: drizzle a decent amount of garlic oil into your pan on medium heat until the pan is hot
step 2: place in your sliced mushrooms and fry until they are sizzling and browned
step 3: tip your fresh pasta into a pot of salted boiling water, make sure you are liberal with the salt. cook for 3-4 minutes until al dente
step 4: while your fettuccine is cooking, pour the creamy carbonara sauce over the browned mushrooms
step 5: once your pasta has cooked through, use tongs to take the pasta out of the pot and place straight into the sauce. toss around until every strand of pasta is coated in the creamy sauce
step 6: plate up and top with parmesan cheese and your favourite greens (pictured: finely chopped parsley)
