Cavatelli w/ Marinated Chilli Feta & Chorizo

For 1

  • 1 portion fresh cavatelli
  • 1/2 jar tomato sauce (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 sliced chorizo sausage (about 70g)
  • 50g feta cheese 
  • 1 pinch of fennel seeds (about 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1 drizzle danspasta chilli oil
  • 1 knob of butter (about 30g)
step 1: marinate the feta cheese pieces by lightly tossing them in a bowl with the chilli oil and fennel seeds. set aside.
step 2: drop the cavatelli into salted boiling water and cook for 5-6 minutes until al dente.
step 3: in a medium heat (oiled) pan add sliced chorizo and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden.
step 4: add your danspasta tomato sauce to the pan to warm up, add a knob of butter and mix through. scoop the cooked cavatelli and add to the pan.
step 5: dish up, place the marinated feta on top and garnish with basil. enjoy!
